Third Saturday in May. A community celebration that includes a downtown parade, food, fun, music and a regional firefighters' competition.

Attractions

Hills of the Palouse (August)

A great photo opportunity exists just before harvest.  Take beautiful photos of old barns, wildly-colored lentil fields and amber waves of grain.

Steptoe Butte

From the top of Steptoe Butte there is a 360° view of the Palouse. On a clear day you can see from Spokane to Walla Walla - a great place for photos!

Recreation

McCroskey State Park

Not far from Garfield, just across the Idaho border in McCroskey State Park. The park includes 32 miles of multi-purpose trails and is perfect for primitive camping and picnics.
