Located 8 miles south of Kalispell, our communities are the destination spot for locals as well as tourists. All four seasons in Lakeside and Somers offers something for everyone, from skiing the slopes of Blacktail Mountain to sailing and boating majestic Flathead Lake. While visiting in our area, please stop by our chamber office located in the West Shore Community Library in Lakeside for local information and travel guides. Fishing & Water Sports
Lakeside and Somers are located on beautiful Flathead Lake, largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River. Boat rentals, cruises and fishing charters are available.

Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park, the fourth largest National Park in the U.S. in the lower 48 states, is comprised of 1.4 million acres of breathtaking beauty and is one of the oldest scenic wonders in the United States. The famous Going-To-The-Sun Road, carved out of solid rock and completed in 1932, is approximately fifty miles long, bisecting the Park east and west.
